GOLF OUTING

The first club golf outing was held in Lismore last Saturday with winners on the day coming from the team made up of Adrian Mannix, Kenneth Condon and Martin Shanahan, with a Ray Lewis captained trio in second and Ritchie Carey, Sean Howard and Sean Baker making up the prize winners.

Nearest pin was Timmy Dunne and longest drive was Ray Lewis. A big thank you to sponsors A Touch of Luxury, Fermoy; Divine Tiles and Bathware, Fermoy and Lismore Golf Club who provided beautiful food on the day and also sponsored the green fees for third place.

AGM AND JUNIOR PLAYERS' MEETING

The club will hold their AGM on Tuesday, 30th July in Cotter’s Bar with an 8pm the starting time. This AGM will also take in a junior players meeting and registration. All coaches for the coming season, fun league coaches, parents and any new members are welcome to attend on the night.

We would especially ask for parents of children involved in the underage and fun leagues team to come along, as the club is all about the underage teams and ways to improve etc.

SUMMER CAMP

The annual summer camp concluded last week with the crested jersey and full kit with name on jersey going down a treat. Well done everybody and see you next year.

LOTTO

Results from July 23rd. Draw held at The Butchers Bar, jackpot – €2,450. Numbers drawn 4, 6, 8 and 21. No winner. Lucky dips €20 each - Lily Sheehan c/o K. Howard; Paddy Whelan c/o Motty; Marie Kenny c/o J. Caplice and Coleen Dunne c/o Gus.

Next week’s jackpot €2,550. Draw will take place in Cotter’s Bar at 9.30pm sharp. Tickets on sale locally for €1.50 and as always, all support is very much appreciated.

U8/U9 GAMES

By the time these notes are published the club U8 and U9 teams will have completed their return fixture with Fermoy FC. More details next week.

MANAGERS/COACHES

The club have secured a number of coaches and we would ask all coaches for the coming season to attend the AGM next Tuesday evening in Cotters so we can plan ahead for the coming season and identify plans for team training equipment, etc.

REGISTRATION FOR COMING SEASON

In the coming weeks the club will be holding a number of registration nights in the soccer pitch for the underage teams. This will involve paying reg fees and completing the necessary documents to send to the league. Dates and times in next week’s notes folks.

JUNIOR TEAM REGISTRATION

This season it has been decided only to enter a men's junior team based on paid up registered players. Any junior men's players wishing to pay their €50 membership fee, which covers insurance etc, must do so by Tuesday, July 30th. If by this date we don't have the required number of players paid up in full, then we will dispense with the junior team set up entirely.

All players wishing to sign up can do so at the AGM in Cotter’s Bar 8pm next Tuesday, 30th July. A strict no pay/no register policy is in place so please have the required money on the night. Registrations will not be accepted without payment. €50 juniors, €30 for unemployed and €25 for students.

SYMPATHY

Vote of sympathy was extended to the McClellan family, Fermoy/Grange on the death of Tom.
