The pressure is on and excitement is building ahead of this weekend’s eagerly anticipated ‘Lip Sync Battle’ in Ballyduff. Keen to have a massive element of surprise for the public, organisers have arranged for strict security around ongoing rehearsals in St. Michael’s Hall.

The closed door policy certainly seems to be working and at the time of going to press, it looks certain that Saturday night’s show in St. Michael’s will be completely sold out.

This is great news for the committee in charge who are hoping to make as much money as possible for the hall’s roof restoration fund.

Having been assessed by engineers, the news regarding the roof is fairly grim with a complete replacement job being recommended. With tradesmen scarce and construction prices increasingly almost weekly, every cent will be required.
