The Law Society of Ireland congratulates Cork trainee solicitors Andrea Whelton (Arthur Cox LLP) from Leap, West Cork, Aoibhín O’Connor (Denise Kelleher & Associates Solicitors, Cork) from Ballinhassig, Cork, and Limerick trainee solicitor Jennifer Ryan (Matheson LLP), for progressing to the final rounds of the Nelson Mandela World Human Rights Moot Court Competition.
The competition took place at the Palais des Nations in Geneva, Switzerland from July 17 – 21. The Law Society team reached the octo finals placing within the top 16 teams in the world.
The Law Society of Ireland has representative, regulatory and educational functions in respect of the solicitors’ profession.
The team was coached by solicitor Alysha Hoare from Cork.
