Scottish-born Dr Lucy Weir, now resident in Kilworth, has just published her first book entitled Love is Green.
Lucy says the point of her book is to show that we have a choice as to how we respond to the ecological emergency that we find ourselves in. She describes the book as follows:
I’ve written a book, at last, at the ripe old age of 53. It’s been published by Vernon Press, an academic publishing company. I am a philosopher but don’t let that put you off. Like being a mechanic who has to take things apart, see how they work or don’t, and put them back together, philosophers work with ideas, not with cars.
