The County Board draw for 2013/14 has been launched and the first draw will take place on Thursday, October 31st which isn’t too far away. So, those who wish to renew their membership can do so by contacting Patsy O’Mahony or whoever sold you the ticket last year. The same charge applies, €100 for the year with some fantastic prices on offer including cars and large cash prizes. We need to have the money in by next Monday night, October 21st at the latest. You can choose to pay it yearly or monthly. And of course we are always happy to see new members join.

This draw is very important revenue for the club so it is important we maintain a high number of members if we can. Thank you to everyone who joins or renews.

INTERMEDIATE LEAGUE PLAY-OFF FIXTURE

Kilworth and Carrigaline finished on level points in this years’ Division 1 intermediate hurling league with Kilworth staying up on points difference. However, due to the fact that Kilworth gave a walkover to Youghal in the last round of the league, this is no longer the case and so we now face Carrigaline in a play-off on tonight, Thursday (time and venue was unknown at time of going to press). This is a very important game for the club as a win will see us stay up but a loss will see us relegated to Division 2. Please come out and support the lads in this crucial game.

CLUB AGM

A date has been set for the club’s AGM and it will take place on Friday, November 22nd in the clubrooms at 7.30pm. We would hope that a large number of members attend as the focus now turns to the new GAA year which is fast approaching. All motions have to be in no later than November 8th. We look forward to seeing you on the night.

CHILL INSURANCE AFFILIATION SCHEME

Chill Insurance is proud to announce they have recently launched a new affinity scheme for Cork Clubs. All car and house insurance policies taken out with Chill Insurance will generate funds for the club in question. All you have to do is call them at their Cork office on 021-6018600 for a quote on all types of insurance and mention our club’s unique code “Chill 117” and if you purchase a policy from them, the Club will be re-reimbursed to the tune of €10. You can find further information on the posters and flyers which are available from Centra in Kilworth.

LOTTO

There was no winner of this week’s lotto jackpot of €2,800. The numbers drawn were 2, 7, 14 and 16. The lucky dip winners of €20 were: Luke Wheeler, Damien McNamara, Denis Motherway and Pat Mansell c/o ‘Chelsea’ Condon. Next week’s jackpot is €2,950. As always we would like to thank all our subscribers for their continued support.
