Kildorrery International Food Fair Sunday May 19th

Now in its sixth year the ever popular Kildorrery International Food Fair takes place on Sunday, 19th May from 2pm to 4pm in Kildorrery National School.
This annual food fair is unique in Ireland as it is run by local residents from various nationalities who prepare authentic dishes representative of their national cuisine. It is a great chance to taste food one might never otherwise come across. It differs from other food fairs in that there is no commercial involvement – this is a key element as it guarantees that all of the food is homemade and 100% authentic.

Participating countries at this year’s Kildorrery International Food Fair include Latvia, Hungary, Japan, Ireland, Korea, Lithuania, England, New Zealand, and Nigeria. There will also be a dedicated section for vegetarian, gluten free and vegan options.

To make the food fair experience as accessible as possible to everyone in the community, admission is charged at €5 per adult with family tickets priced at €15. After admission all patrons can sample as much as they want from all of the national tables at no extra charge. Music will be provided by Frontiers, and the organisers are delighted to welcome back New York jazz trumpeter Donny Arnold who last entertained Food Fair patrons in 2010.
