This weekend, there will be a card game with a difference in Kilbehenny, as the fourth annual card game in aid of Special Friends will take place.

Organised by Foulke Fitzgerald, the 45 Drive card game will take place in the community centre on this Sunday, November 17 at 2.30pm.

This is always a great day out, in support of a really worthy cause and as one of the biggest card games in the area, it attracts a lot of community support, while there are a lot of great spot prizes up for grabs as well.

Special Friends is a support group, which was set up in Mitchelstown to offer parents and siblings of children with special needs a support network and practical assistance.

The group offers children specifically designed activities, therapies and outings, which are suited to their individual needs and abilities.

Special Friends depend on fundraisers like this to continue their services and all support for this card game would be greatly appreciated.
