Mitchelstown woman Noreen O'Halloran and her Dad Tom, from Ballylanders are keeping busy as they both await kidney transplants. Both are strong supporters of the work of the Irish Kidney Association.
They're now planning a fundraiser for them - a table quiz which is being held this Friday night, February 1 in The Hunters Rest, Mitchelstown at 9pm. Entry is €40 per team.
Noreen recently spoke to The Avondhu of her onerous daily routine and what it entails as she manages the disease while awaiting a transplant. She's chronicling her experience in an online blog.
