19-year old Kelly Mongan from Fermoy is playing the waiting game at present – waiting to be called back to the RTE talent competition The Voice and awaiting the arrival of her first baby, due in April.

Kelly is in regular contact with the show’s producers as she awaits word to return for the next stage of the popular competition following her recent successful audition in January. At present, the blind auditions element of the show is still being broadcast weekly. The next stage of the competition will be a sing-off among competitors.

Kelly, from the Rathealy Road in Fermoy, made a big impression in the blind auditions, being chosen by Westlife star and Voice coach Kian Egan. She sang Whitney Houston’s power ballad ‘I Have Nothing’.

She says she’s in good form and enjoying her pregnancy while waiting to return to perform on the show.
