Members of Araglin Carnival committee welcomed some of the region's top darts players to their innaugural competition which was staged in carnival marquee recently.
35 players, drawn from Cork, Tipperary and Waterford entered what was a keenly contested tournament.
After several hours of play, the field was whittled down with Damien 'Damo' Peters from Aherlow facing off against his great rival Dungarvan's Mark Fehilly. In the end, the consistency and clinical finishing of Peters prevailed.
Carnival chairman, Jeremiah O'Brien thanked everyone who competed as well as tournament organiser, Richie Whelan for overseeing and co-ordinating the event.
In addition to a cash prize, the winner, received The Michael O'Brien Perpetual Cup which was generously sponsored by The Village Inn, Kilworth.
