Jimmy McCarthy comes to the Corrin Event Centre, Fermoy.

One of Ireland's foremost songwriters Jimmy MacCarthy returns to perform his ‘Prophecy/conspiracy?’ tour this Autumn and takes in the Corrin Event Centre, Fermoy on his travels. But, be warned - tickets are selling fast and at €20 each, they are a steal as he is selling out at other venues at much higher prices.

Having worked with major Irish artists such as Christy Moore and Mary Black, Jimmy has also released four albums of his own. This new tour will pay homage to old favourites such as ’Neidin’, while introducing his more recent work ’Andalucian Gray’ and ‘Children of Mile’. Jimmy has written some of the most well known songs in the Irish folk and contemporary repertoire such as ’No Frontiers’, ‘Missing You’ ’Ride On’, ’Katie’, ‘Bright Blue Rose’, ‘The Contender’, ’Mystic Lipstick’ and many more.

CHRISTMAS SHOW

The next event being promoted at Corrin will be the Christmas Show on Saturday, Dec 14 where the organisers will be running a repeat of last year's very enjoyable night .
Great news is that it is priced at €15 for 'A Celebration of The Festive Season in both Song and Story', starring Linda Kenny (soprano), Frank Ryan (tenor) and the Bel Canto Choir with the show narrated by Kevin Hough (Lyrics Board RTE) and produced and directed by Cathal MacCabe of RTE.
The post show dance music will again be provided by the brilliant Brose Walsh Dance Band from Mayo. One of the talking points last year was the beautifull food and mulled wine supplied by KC Cathering  and Samantha  and Dan will be doing the honours again this year.
