Mallow has been chosen as one of eight locations nationwide where between 18 and 32 Irish Water personnel will be based to service the water charge collection which comes into effect in January 2015.

he employees will be drawn from the local authorities, the Department of the Environment, Bord Gáis and some from open recruitment. The seven other offices will be based in Dublin, Mullingar, Castlebar, Cavan town, Donegal town, Kilkenny city and Limerick city.
