Introducing the new Jeep Avenger 4xe

– the All-Wheel Drive capability to enhance fun and freedom

In Frankfurt recently, The Jeep Brand unveiled the Avenger 4xe, bringing together Avenger’s distinctive looks, compactness and versatility with the performance of the Jeep brand’s all-wheel-drive system.

The 4xe version enhances the offroad fun, all-weather drivability, and distinctive style of the acclaimed Avenger, which is equipped with the Hybrid 48-Volt powertrain with exclusive Jeep all-wheel-drive technology combined with the automatic 6-speed dual-clutch transmission.  Enhancements include improved off-road angles, a 10 mm increase in ground clearance, and the ability to ford up to 400 mm of water.

Crafted to cater to a diverse spectrum of individuals, the Jeep Avenger 4xe appeals to those who are “open air” enthusiasts, and those who love and practice sports, 4×4 owners who wouldn’t give up the additional traction and safety provided by all-wheel-drive, urban customers who need a compact car during the working week, but love outdoor escapades at the weekend, and also people who are not offroad drivers, but want to stand out from the crowd.

Eric Laforge – Head of Jeep Brand in Enlarged Europe has commented: “Avenger is one of the biggest success stories of Jeep in Europe with more than 90,000 orders from final customers of which almost 30% full electric. In the wake of this success, Avenger 4xe will be the new benchmark in the “B- SUV” segment, offering exclusive design, top performance, and representing the full expression of Jeep legacy on all-wheel drive”.

The exclusive Jeep all-wheel-drive system allows 4×4 to be always available when needed, without compromise on fuel efficiency. Additionally, Selec-Terrain function allows the driver to choose the appropriate mode in any situation. Auto, which offers all-wheel-drive only upon demand, ideal for everyday driving with minimal CO2 emissions; Snow, providing enhanced stability control and smart all-wheel-drive for safe winter road travel; Sand & Mud, tailored for uneven terrains with specific gearshift ratios and traction control; and Sport, maximising the potent power and torque delivery of the 4xe system, further enhanced by e-boost on the rear wheels.

An exclusive feature of the Avenger 4xe is the new Multilink rear suspension scheme which has been developed by Jeep to provide increased articulation on the rear axle resulting in more comfort on rough roads. The vehicle couples 136 hp (100 Kw) thermal engine with two electric motors of 21 kW each, capable to move both axles and ensuring 1900 Nm available torque at rear wheels.

Extra capability under the hood empowers the 4xe to deliver excellent performance, achieving a maximum power output of 136 hp and reaching speeds of up to 194 km/h speed (+10 km/h compared to the e-hybrid model), with an acceleration from 0-100 km/h in just 9.5 seconds.  This robust performance effortlessly marries power with eco-consciousness, and thanks to the coupling of all-wheel drive with hybrid technology makes it possible to reduce consumption and emissions.

Avenger 4xe is more than a new version of a model. Its uniqueness goes beyond the new powertrain, offering dedicated exteriors and interiors with increased functionality such as a rear tow-hook, standard roof bars to enhance load capacity for carrying equipment such as kayaks and rafting gear, and seats made from a durable material that is completely waterproof.

The Avenger 4xe will be available in Ireland from late 2024. Full details of prices and specifications for the Irish Market will be available closer to launch.
