A two-day interactive workshop in suicide first aid is being offered in Fermoy. It’s an initiative of ASIST, Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training, provided by the HSE.

A two-day interactive workshop in suicide first aid is being offered in Fermoy. It’s an initiative of ASIST, Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training, provided by the HSE. It’s suitable for all types of caregivers – health workers, teachers, community workers, gardai, youth workers, volunteers as well as people responding to family, friends and co-workers.

The ASIST training is supported by Avondhu Blackwater Partnership and will take place at the Le Cheile Family Resource Centre on Tuesday next, March 12th and Wednesday, March 13th from 9-5. The course is free. Participants have to complete Safe Talk Training prior to enrolling in ASIST.
