‘I want to help others’ says young Fermoy girl

Grace Supple from Fermoy is just nine years old but has an inbuilt passion for helping others.

The young Fermoy girl is currently going door to door collecting money for Irish Motor Neurone Disease Association (IMNDA) and intends to donate her hair, for the second time, to the Rapunzel Foundation in September. 

Grace’s uncle-in-law Tim Shanahan was diagnosed with Motor Neurone Disease in February 2016 and having witnessed his suffering over the past number of years, Grace decided she wanted to help. 

“I love him and he taught me to swim when we were on holidays years ago. It’s sad to see him like that now so I wanted to raise a little bit of money to help other people who have it …”
