‘I told the truth’ – Mitchelstown taxi driver says

Mitchelstown taxi driver Gerdy Murphy has re-affirmed his stance to The Avondhu, saying he told the truth and gave an accurate account of what happened on September 13.

Mitchelstown taxi driver Gerdy Murphy who has been embroiled in a bitter battle of words with Junior Minister Dara Murphy for the past week, has re-affirmed his stance to The Avondhu, saying that he told the truth and gave an accurate account of what happened on September 13.

Since it emerged a few days ago that Dara Murphy had travelled to Dublin Airport by garda squad car when his car broke down outside Mitchelstown, he has denied claims that he turned down a taxi that was offered to him by a local driver.
