By no means an easy task, the Tipperary GAA County Board are still on target to get the Liam McCarthy and Irish Press Cups to every national school in the county.

Last week, they focused on the southern end of ‘The Premier’ with the gleaming trophies arriving bright and early to Skeheenarinky National School – a well established nursery of the ancient game.

The school’s hurling coach and well known collector of GAA memorabilia, Eddie Maher, brought along plenty of blue and gold flags while pupils had a choice of donning county jerseys or Hallowe’en garb. Eddie was joined by Skeheenarinky Hurling Club stalwarts, James Fox and Paddy McGrath – all of whom got photographed with the famous silverware.
