Members of Araglin Carnival Committee have teamed up with Pieta House to host a tractor, classic car and motorcycle run on this Sunday, April 1.

Participants in the various categories have some interesting routes laid out for them and as of now, the forecast isn’t looking too bad for Easter Sunday.

Registration is at Araglin Hall from 11.30am with vehicles scheduled to depart at 12.30pm.

The registration fee is €20 and drivers can look forward to refreshments in the hall on their return.

WELCOMED

Pat Duffy is a fundraising co-ordinator with Pieta House and he’s delighted with the initiative in Araglin.

“It’s great to hear about this fundraiser, I understand John Browne and his team are working very hard on the ground and I wish them and everyone taking part the best of luck” Pat told The Avondhu.

Pieta House, which was established in 2006, provides intervention to those considering self-harm and support to families affected by suicide.
