Historic day for Ballyhooly Tennis Club

Last Sunday saw the official opening of the new clubhouse at Ballyhooly Tennis Club.

Established in 1992, Ballyhooly Tennis Club is a sporting organisation on the up. Fr Joe McGuane, Liz O'Mahony, Kerry Ann O'Riordan, Tom Collier and Catherine Hickey were among those who helped get the ball rolling.

The early years were spent in the grounds of Ballyhooly National School before moving to Ballyhooly Community Field. Thanks to the efforts of members and public support, the club now has two competition standard Savanah courts.
