A needle, a medical grade elastic band and an empty cigarette box were found in the toilet of a service station in Fermoy on Sunday evening last by Glanworth local, Anthony Lillis.
Mr Lillis went to use the toilets and got a shock when he discovered the gear at the back of one of the toilets between the cistern and the bowl.
At a first glance, Mr Lillis thought it may have been medical equipment used by an individual who needed to self-inject due to a medical condition but on further inspection, he deduced that the materials were likely to have been used by an individual to shoot-up heroin.
