Questions asked and answered emphatically by Shanballymore in Raheenagh last Sunday as the Avondhu and Cork champions capped a fantastic 2015/16 season by winning the Canning Hurleys sponsored All-Ireland junior B hurling championship.

This small rural village which is home to Killedy GAA has become a familiar venue for Shanballymore supporters who’ve been an intrinsic part of a wonderful success story.

Raised on songs and stories about great Shanballymore teams from the past, this year and last year was a chance for the current side to create their own bit of history – that history has been made following divisional, county, provincial and national success – a feat that will take some replicating.
