While crowds may have been down somewhat on previous years at the 13th annual One Act Drama Festival in Castlelyons, those who did attend last Friday and Saturday night's performances were treated to some excellent acting.
Organised by the Barrymore Players' group and granted aided by Cork County Council, this competition is a recognised platform for aspiring young talent.

Locally produced plays were the heartbeat of small towns and villages, he said.

Others acknowledged on the night included Mary Murphy, Bridie Milward, Eileen O'Doherty, Denis James and Daniel Crowley along with members of Castlelyons Community Council.
Festival adjudicator was Geoff Goold and the following were the results.
