A really great crowd turned up last Saturday night (29th) for the launch of recently retired Ballyporeen principal Nioclás Ó Duinnín’s new book entitled ‘My Ballyporeen Schools Scrapbook’. The 900 page tome is indeed a beautifully presented book and will shortly no doubt prove to be a collector’s item!
The social evening for the launch and his retirement was held in the school hall where members of the parents’ council worked hard as they provided a splendid lay-out of food for all. The spread resembled that of a ‘good food festival’ with all types of dainties provided! They can be very proud of their work!
The new ‘Scoil Teampall Toinne’ principal Bernard O’Connell, was MC. He opened the night by calling on school BOM chairman Martin Neville, to say a few words. Martin, speaking of Nioclás Ó Duinnín, said that he was passionate about everything in which he was involved ...
