Lord of the Dance Michael Flatley has announced he is selling his Castlehyde mansion – with an estimated guide price of €20m to €30m for the 18th century estate located outside Fermoy.

The dance king first saw Castlehyde from a helicopter while on his way down to West Cork. He thought it was in Co Tipperary but his pilot informed his that this was ‘North Cork, the Blackwater Valley’.

Flatley said it sounded so romantic, he got the pilot to land the helicopter so he could buy the house.
