Curraghagalla National School all set for open day
The great Glenville Cycle takes place this Easter Saturday, April 19th. The organiser says all that's needed to take part is a bike and a helmet!
With three routes available, there's something to suit riders of all levels. The 30km route will take cyclists from Glenville to Watergrasshill to Rathcormac and back to Glenville; the 45km route is from Glenville to Watergrasshill to Rathcormac, on to Fermoy and Ballyhooly, before finishing back in Glenville. The most ambitious route - the 85km, is from Glenville to Watergrasshill to Rathcormac, Ballyhooly, Killavullen, Carrignavar, Upper Glanmire, doubling back through Watergrasshill to finish back in Glenville.
BENEFICIARIES
Two charities will benefit from this great community fundraiser, one local and one national; the new Glenville school hall and the Irish Cancer Society. It's been orgainsed by local man Eoin Haberlin, a parent of children at the school, in association with Over the Hill Cycling Club. The event is being supported by The Edge Sports Shop.
The entry fee is €20 and registration will take place on the day from 10am, with the cycle getting underway at 11am. People can also register online by going to www.mycharity.ie/event/great_glenville-cycle2014
Refreshments will be served afterwards in Kades Kounty. Anyone who'd like further information can contact Eoin on 086 1727664 or e-mail him at eoinhaberlin@gmail.com
