Glanworth National School Parents’ Association would like to thank everyone who supported our table quiz in The Harbour Bar on Saturday night, 23rd March. We in particular would like to thank our sponsors: Joan and Denis O’Neill, Cllr Frank O’Flynn, Dairygold, Cllr Kevin O’Keeffe, Mick and Bernie Walsh, Anna Carey, School Around The Corner, and all the many parents who donated spot prizes and those who were unable to attend on the night but purchased tickets.

The night could not have taken place but for quizmasters Noel and James Sheehan and Sean Quirke, as usual the questions were a great variety to suit both quiz followers and amateurs alike. The quiz was won on the night by Paddy and Clo Fitzgibbon, Mike Carey and John Bermingham. Second place were Kay Quirke, Kate O’Donovan, Bob Sheedy and Christopher O’Donovan and in third were Paul O’Dwyer, Anne O’Brien, Mick Walsh and Cathy O’Keeffe. Our raffle winners were: 1st Nicole Kelly, 2nd Mgt Dorgan O’Donoghue, 3rd Kate O’Brien, 4th Kay Quirke and 5th Mary Gallagher.

Our next fundraiser will be a fun walk and run to be held in June and sponsored by B2A.
