Gilbert (Gill) Fonteyn has lived in Ballygiblin for about a year and describes himself as ‘a social pedagogue’.

“In plain language that basically means a curative educator. My day job is with the Galtee Clinic in Ballyporeen where I work with children who have been put into care. It’s very rewarding but I also have a passion for photography and it's this that I’m really excited about at the moment.”

Speaking to The Avondhu, Gill describes himself as the sort of man that one might want to take home for dinner . . .
