Gardai across the Avondhu region are focused on helping vulnerable people in communities by compiling a special list.
Superintendent John Deasy, based in Fermoy Garda Station, said that the measures are designed to help people the most in need in the Fermoy district which covers large swathes of North Cork, including Mitchelstown and other areas.
Superintendent Deasy said that it will see uniformed gardai calling to the door and offering help when needed.
“We want everyone to know that we are only a phone call away. Don’t think twice about picking up the phone and calling us if you need any help, that’s what we are here for.
