The students and staff of Galbally NS are all set to welcome prospective new students and their parents to the school on Friday week, June 20 for their open day, which runs from 9.20am until 12.30pm.
Teacher Sarah Cunningham told The Avondhu that on the day, children will be invited into the school, so that they can familiarise themselves with it before the new school year begins after the summer.
They will first be given the opportunity to play, before having 'circle time' which allows them to get to know each other, they will then try out different materials and games in the classroom, and wrap up the morning by enjoying story time and songs.
