Galbally National School held their Action Day for the Green Schools Programme recently. Present were Tim Ryan (Galbally Tidy Towns) and John Denihan (FÁS) along with our litter wardens and committe members, all wearing their high visibility jackets.

Tim Ryan spoke on the importance of keeping the community clean and the need for recycling, thereby helping our environment. John Denihan demonstrated how to use litter pickers properly.

"We picked all the litter we could find around the school grounds and outside the school on the aproach road to the school. We are taking all neccessary steps to ensure that we as a school achieve Green Flag status," a spokesperson told The Avondhu.
