Local charities stand to benefit significantly from a novel campaign being run by a Fermoy car dealership. The new car year starts on July 1st and with their ‘132’ campaign, Cavanagh’s Ford dealership are promising to make it worth celebrating.

Anyone taking a test drive in any of their ‘132’ Ford models during the nine days of the campaign will have €50 nominated to their chosen local charity. “We want to stress that it’s local charities we want to benefit from this, like the community hospital, meals on wheels etc.,” sales manager Conor O’Keefe explained. Local clubs and organisations won’t be eligible, it’s strictly for North Cork based charities.

The campaign gets underway this Thursday, June 27th and will run until Saturday, July 6th. The Cork Road dealership will also be open this Sunday, June 30th from 2 to 4.30pm to maximise the available time. Staff will be on hand over the nine days to greet people on arrival and register their details for the charity of their choice so that the €50 donation is made in their name. The more successful the campaign the bigger financial shot in the arm for local charities.
