World première of ‘Catching The Train’ being staged at Friars’ Gate on this Friday and Saturday.

On Friday 4th and Saturday, 5th December at 8pm nightly, Friars’ Gate Theatre, Kilmallock hosts ‘Catching The Train’ written by Mary Angland, Mary-Anne Bartlett, Mary Bradford and Marie O’Halloran.

The group of four were mentored over the past two years by John Sheehy of CallBack Theatre as part of his role as Theatre Artist in Residence.

The play tells the stories of three individuals brought together by Molly, a woman who likes to help: Sarah, put into the county home by a brutal father; Danny, cursed with the affliction of fainting; and George, a man who doubts the paternity of his son. A powerful play with a sting in its tail.
