A free webinar series for business owners across the hospitality industry, titled ‘Reopening your Food Business during Covid-19’, has been launched to assist in the relaunch of the economy following the pandemic lockdown.
Delivered by expert food safety consultants, the webinars are free to attend and were launched by The Food Safety Company. Earlier this month, the company launched its innovative ‘Hygiene Assured’ certification, which scientifically validates hygiene standards in hotels, restaurants, cafés and other businesses across the hospitality and care industry.
The company has since devised a standalone service to assist companies in the development of site specific Covid-19 response plans which covers infection control, detailing the change of work patterns, social distancing, sick leave, and legionnaires.
The first two webinars covered the areas of protecting staff and customers and developing Covid-19 Response Plans in line with the ‘Return to Work Safely Protocol’ issued by the Government on May 9.
Upcoming webinars take place on Friday, June 12 – Adapting your service offering post Covid-19. How to expand your ‘take-away’ offering to ensure compliance with HACCP, allergens, labelling, micro-testing; and on Friday, June 19 – Cleaning during Covid-19 – Preparing your business to reopen, and best practices in operational hygiene once reopened.
