Fr Gabriel Burke moves to Whitechurch

Mitchelstown said goodbye to popular priest, Fr Gabriel Burke last week at his final Mass in the parish before he departed to take up his new position as curate in Whitechurch, in the parish of Blarney.

Fr Gabriel Burke first came to Mitchelstown in September 2014 when he exchanged places with Fr James Greene who transferred to Carrigtwohill.

At this time, Fr Burke’s mother was living in his home place in Dublin and his move allowed him to travel home every weekend to visit her. Sadly she passed away in late 2017.

A native of Dublin and a past pupil of Synge Street CBS, he is very proud of his Dublin roots.
