It has finally been announced that the damaged footpath and adjacent wall on the N72 along the boundary of Fermoy town park, will be repaired this coming summer.
Deputy Kevin O’Keeffe received a positive reply from the chief executive of the TII Michael Nolan, on February 12 saying: “I can confirm that the issue of damage to a retaining wall on the N72 adjacent to the Fermoy town park has been investigated by Cork County Council.”
The letter went on to say that the TII has received designs for the repair of the retaining wall structure and for the upgrading of the vehicle restraint barrier.
