Hundreds of happy couples uncovered the old world, vintage charm of Fitzgeralds Vienna Woods Hotel, Cork’s première 4-Star Wedding Venue, at their recent Wedding Fayre Sunday, January 19.

The wooded setting and 18th century surrounds was almost upstaged by the new bridal suite which was officially opened at the event and presents a hopelessly romantic backdrop for that Special Day.

The new Bridal Suite, named the Crawford Suite in honour of the original owners of the elegant country manor, exudes luxury and demands self-indulgence. The Crawford Suite was opened by Patricia Kyrwan and Colin Lambe, winners of a competition run during the wedding fayre event.

The guest-focused ethos of Fitzgerald's Vienna Woods Hotel, resonated across each aspect of the wedding event; the attention to detail exhibited by all the staff was remarkable. The hotel specialises in highly personalised weddings, civil ceremonies and civil partnerships and endeavours to make every couple’s big day as unique as possible to reflect their respective personalities.

Fitzgerald's Vienna Woods Hotel showcased several personal and unique touches which set the hotel apart from local competitors. Uplifting soulful sounds of Bo Jangles greeted guests, as they winded their way along the leafy drive, burning turf fires lined the hotel exterior walls and homemade apple and parsnip soup and designer coffee was served from carts as guests entered the front doors.

Over forty suppliers, personally recommended by Fitzgerald's Vienna Woods Hotel, displayed their wares and services throughout the evening. The Magner Suite, a purpose built ballroom with a sit down capacity for 400 people buzzed with wedding ideas, music and the infectious excitement of hundreds of soon to be wedded couples.

Smaller rooms for intimate wedding gatherings were transformed by Butlers Upgrades, tastefully dressed to recreate tranquil, alter-like spaces cast in soft candle light.

The Hotel’s Head Chef, Jimmy Birmingham, and his team were on hand to discuss the endless supply of tasty canapés, flip fresh pancakes, carve and serve choice cuts of beef and advise on menu choices.
