For over a decade Kilworth artist, Fiona Turley has produced Christmas cards whose sale helps raise funds for cancer research.
It’s a cause that’s very close to Fiona’s heart and she’s delighted to be able to do her bit for such a deserving organisation.
The launch of these cards is the unofficial launch of the festive season and on Sunday last Fiona’s staff, family, neighbours and many friends, along with representatives from Breakthrough Cancer Research, gathered at Gallery Crafts in Kilworth to formally launch the Christmas 2019 selection of cards.
It was a positive, upbeat occasion which was enhanced by Fiona’s beautifully decorated premises and the culinary delights produced by neighbouring venture ‘Cooke’s At The Gallery’, which is run by renowned chef, Elizabeth Cooke.
Speaking at the event, CEO of Breakthrough Cancer Research, Orla Dolan, said Fiona Turley has been a loyal supporter of the charity over the years and that her stunning range of cards captured the essence of Christmas.
“I think everyone looks forward to this time of year. Once again, Fiona’s talents are on show and the cards look spectacular, going on their track record of success, there’s every reason to believe the cards will be equally well received this year,” she said.
Orla went on to explain about the vital work being carried out by staff at Breakthrough Cancer Research.
