Fermoy Rowing Club’s Coxed Masters Sweep 4 of Donnellan brothers Shane and Mike, Brian Cliffe, John Hurley and their Cox Brefni Harris O’Sullivan, will fly out to Lake Bled in Slovenia this weekend to compete in the World Masters Rowing Championships.
Fermoy’s ‘fab five’ are teaming up with two rowers from Cork, one from Limerick and one from Dublin to compete in a composite eight this Friday.
On Saturday they will compete in the World Masters Sweep 4 race, which they hope to improve on last year’s performance in Copenhagen where they came a very close third to Germany and Great Britain.
Just 0.8 of a second separated first, second and third.
