SPAR Texaco, Fermoy has been shortlisted for two prestigious industry awards in the annual ‘Checkout Best in Fresh’ awards. The awards ceremony will be held at the Shelbourne Hotel, Dublin on July 3.
One of the most eagerly anticipated events in the Irish retail calendar, Checkout’s annual Best in Fresh awards is the only industry award that specifically recognises and rewards best practice in the sale of fresh produce.
SPAR Texaco, Fermoy is part of the H2 Group of SPAR stores, owned and operated by Sean Heaphy and has been named as finalist in the following award – Excellence in Fresh Food Retailing in a Forecourt Store.
Commenting on the announcement, SPAR Sales Director Colin Donnelly said: “The honour of being a finalist in the annual Checkout Best in Fresh awards is a tremendous acknowledgement of the ongoing excellence of SPAR Texaco, Fermoy and, indeed, of all SPAR stores. The Checkout Best in Fresh Awards are now in their 12th year and are the long-standing benchmark for those demonstrating and promoting excellence in fresh food retailing in Ireland, with retailers of all sizes and formats honoured.
