Fermoy Snooker Club, who base themselves in Fermoy CM&WS Hall, will hold their annual AGM on Sunday evening next (27th October) at 7.30pm. It's an important occasion for the club and members, past and present, are encouraged to make every effort to attend.

It's been an eventful 12 months for this progressive club and a full review of activites will be provided by officers at this weekend's AGM. The club has always strove to have facilities and the recent revamp is a massive step forward for snooker in Fermoy.

After a considerable investment, the club now boasts world class tables which were specially imported from China. The 'out with the old, in with the new' operation' was a considerable undertaking, however, under the direction of Tom Aherne the project ran like clockwork. Not surprisingly, there's huge demand for the tables and the feedback from players has been universally positive. Thanks to everyone who helped out and to Geraldine Butterworth and her CE workers for their input.

There was another boost for the club recently following the performance of Alan Cleary in the World Masters - Alan brought great credit to his club and country by downing the Russian number one with some outstanding snooker - a brilliant display by a very popular player.
