Following on from the success of the Fermoy Rotary Club’s ‘Young Photographer Competition’, the club personnel have decided this year to hold a ‘Young Writer Competition’.

The competition is sponsored by Synergy Credit Union Fermoy and the theme is ‘My Best Day Ever’.

The competition is open to primary school pupils aged 13 and under in the Fermoy catchment area. Entries must be on one side of a single A4 sheet (written or typed).

The competition was officially launched on Tuesday evening last at the Grand Hotel, Fermoy and the closing date for entries is Friday, April 5.

Entrants are asked to write an interesting and creative story on the theme ‘My Best Day Ever’. Prizes will be awarded to the best entries in the various age groups.

A poster and entry forms will be delivered to each of the primary schools in the area within the next few days.
