Fermoy & Mitchelstown schools take awards at school’s enterprise Christmas Trade Fair in Millstreet

Schools from Fermoy and Mitchelstown were among the prizewinners at North Cork Enterprise Board’s Schools Enterprise Christmas Trade Fair in Millstreet.

Schools from Fermoy and Mitchelstown were among the prizewinners at North Cork Enterprise Board's Schools Enterprise Christmas Trade Fair in Millstreet on Thursday last.

Coláiste an Chraoibhín, Fermoy took a prize for best display stand with their demonstration for their enterprise called 'Study Buddy' and the Presentation Secondary School in Mitchelstown won in the same category with 'We Do'.

Students from Davis College, Mallow were the overall winners, taking away the top prize of Best Overall Company out of 47 mini-companies with their project called 'White Deer Productions'. They also took an award in the best interview category.

Two teams from the Patrician Academy in Mallow took the overall best company prize in the junior and intermediate categories with 'Hurley Holders' and 'The Christmas Card Company'.

The next leg of the competition takes place in March next year when one overall company will be chosen as regional finalist to go forward to the national finals in Croke Park in early April.
