Fermoy man signs €45 million business deal with China

Fermoy native Pat O’Flynn, signing the multi-million euro distribution deal with Mr Li Dongming, senior vice president Fosun Pharmaceuticals.

Fermoy native Pat O’Flynn, has signed a multi-million euro distribution deal with Chinese pharmaceutical firm Fosun Pharmaceuticals, on behalf of his company, Solvotrin Therapeutics this week. 

Pat is the son of now retired local business people Coleman and Vergie O’Flynn and is a brother to the commercial director of South Coast Fermoy, Richie O’Flynn.

Solvotrin Therapeutics which was established back in 2009, has it’s office based in Little Island and the company has grown year on year.

A staff of 4 in the early days has now grown to a staff of 15 people and the company has been developing new products for the pharmaceutical industry which have been a huge success thus far.

Their product ‘Active Iron’ is an easily absorbed form of iron supplement which has been available in pharmacies nationwide with over a year.
