An end to the ongoing saga in relation to the footpath on the N72 approach road into Fermoy from Mallow is finally in sight.
It is understood that the contractor GLAS Ltd will be on site in the next 7-10 days and it is predicted that the project will take ten weeks to compete. Cork County Council are due to complete some of the preliminary works on the town park side.
Cllr Frank O’Flynn was thrilled with the news and is looking forward to seeing the contractors on the ground within the next 10 days.
“I’m delighted that we are now at this stage of the process. I would like to thank senior engineer for Cork County Council Brendan O’Gorman. who put in quite a lot of work and has now brought it to finality,” said Cllr O’Flynn.
