Fermoy FC host international at short notice

Officers and members of Fermoy Soccer Club stepped in at short notice last week to host an important U17 UEFA European Championship qualifier between the Republic of Ireland and Armenia.

It did require locals dropping what they were doing and heading for Carrig Park in rapid time, however, thanks to a great team effort, everything was in place for the evening kick off. 

Chairman of Fermoy Soccer Club, Aidan O’Mahony, who received the call from UEFA officials on Wednesday afternoon (11th October), was glowing in his praise of club volunteers.
