Members of the Fermoy & Conna branch of the Irish Red Cross are on standby if and when they are required to help in the fight against the coronavirus.
A member of the local branch confirmed that the unit was ‘on standby, and prepared and ready if needed’.
“We have two ambulances, and a 4×4 vehicle on standby and we are there to assist however we can,” said the member, expressing the hope however, that the situation would not reach a point where they were needed.
