At this week’s Fermoy Area Meeting, it was announced that a number of potholes in the area would be filled. These include ones on the L-5814 and others on the Killakane Road in Mitchelstown and both of these were raised as motions by Cllr Noel McCarthy.

Cllr Frank O’Flynn also raised a motion about dangerous potholes and resurfacing works on the Croughevoe Road in Mitchelstown from Murphy’s Cross to Sandy’s Cross. He was told that this work will be done and as it is on the programme for 2015, it may be done next year.

REPAIR WORKS FOR KILCRUMPER OLD CEMETERY

Following a motion from Cllr Frank O’Flynn at this week’s Fermoy Area Meeting, works are scheduled for October or November of this year at the Kilcrumper Old Cemetery. He called for repair works to be carried out on the footpath, which he said was badly damaged and eroded and also on the inside wall, which is in a bad state.

ROAD MARKINGS

Road markings for stop entrances at the Rathcarrig housing estate on the Pike Road in Fermoy are to be renewed without delay, following a motion from Cllr Noel McCarthy.

TAKING IN CHARGE OF ESTATES

There were requests at the meeting about taking estates in charge, which will be referred to Estates Engineer John Aherne, such as the Glais na mBreac estate in Ballyhooly (Cllr O’Flynn) and an up to date report on the Cluain na Ri estate in Clondulane in Fermoy (Cllr McCarthy).
