An application is currently before Cork County Council for the development of a glamping site at Billeragh West, Araglin.

Submission was made on June 13 by local Andrew Boyle, to locate 17 glamping pods and a communal building consisting of toilets, office, kitchen, dining and lounge area at the site, which is located nearby to Araglin National School.

The application also specifies inclusion of a septic/settlement tank and an integrated constructed wetland system, together with all associated site works.

A Natura Impact Statement is set to be submitted to the planning authority with the application.

Submissions were set to be received by the council by this Wednesday, July 17th, with a decision due date on the application for August 7th.
