Army man, Darren Cody and his Fermoy side face a Mount Everest-like challenge on Sunday when they face off against one of the top teams in the League of Ireland.

At 2pm on Sunday in Carrig Park, Fermoy's finest clash with Cork City in a Munster Senior Cup quarter-final tie that has captured the public's imagination. 

Talking to The Avondhu, club chairman, Aidan O'Mahony said it was a massive occasion for everyone associated with Fermoy FC. 

"This encounter has generated tremendous excitement within and outside the club …"
