A free concert will take place on Saturday, December 9th in Fermoy Community Youth Centre at 7:30pm. It will feature brilliant pianist, Aidan Duggan and well-loved tenor Orison Carlile.
An attractive programme is on offer, including Beethoven’s Moonlight Sonata, Mozart’s Rondo alla Turca and his Sonata in C, performed by Aidan Duggan.
Orison Carlile will sing such well-known favourites as Macushla and I hear you calling me, both made famous by John McCormack, and can be relied on for a beautiful and sensitive rendering of Panis Angelicus, La Vie en Rose, O Holy Night! and much more. The audience will be invited to join in a Christmas sing-a-long.
The concert will be a lovely way to get into the festive spirit of the Christmas season. The evening is being organised by the Fermoy Classical Music Association.
A major aim of the association is to provide access to good classical music in Fermoy and, in the past, it has organised a number of major concerts at very affordable prices, as well as some free performances in the Fermoy library and in the local schools. An evening not to be missed.
